Foot­ball, vol­ley, frees­bie games for P50 fee

The Sports Amuse­ment and Re­cre­ation Cor­po­ra­tion (SparCorp) is hold­ing reg­u­lar Open Play for foot­ball, vol­ley­ball and frees­bie en­thu­si­asts at the Azuela Cove in Lanang, Davao City.

SparCorp's Buboy Ar­ri­eta, in a Face­book in­ter­view, said the Open Play is be­ing held ev­ery Fri­day. "Bisag kinsa pwede muapil. Bayad lang P50. First reg­is­ter, first to play from 7 p.m. on­ward. Si­mul­ta­ne­ous na with foot­ball open play 6-8 p.m. ug frees­bie 8-10 p.m. (This this open to the pub­lic, who­ever wants to play is wel­come. Regis­tra­tion fee is P50. The first to reg­is­ter gets to play first from 7 p.m. on­ward. It is si­mul­ta­ne­ous with foot­ball open play from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m and frees­bie at 8 p.m to 10 p.m.)."

He ob­served that more ma­ture en­thu­si­asts have been play­ing since the ac­tiv­ity was launched a month ago. It only took a break for the hol­i­days last week.

"The idea is to have an av­enue for those in­ter­ested to have ex­er­cise af­ter work and class, en­cour­ag­ing in­di­vid­u­als or groups to bond through ex­er­cise at least ev­ery week­end," he said.

Food and drinks are avail­able for sale at the venue for those who want to hang out af­ter the games. /
