Davao pair shines in Hong Kong
Davao City pair Ferd Kinneth Tagunayon and Jeannette Ortiz captured two titles in the recently-concluded IDTA Trophy 2018 President Cup Super International DanceSport Championship in Shatin, Hong Kong.
Davao-based Filipinas Ballroom Amateur League (FiBa-AL) president and head coach Denise Bunayog bared this in an e-mail to SunStar Davao yesterday. He said Tagunayon and Ortiz won two Adult Latin category titles.
Island Garden City of Samal’s tandem of Keanu Ezekiel Penas and Stephanie Asia Trono placed third in the Asia Pacific-Amateur Latin Rising Star category and was a finalisr in the Open Amateur Latin event.
Emerson Elmer Oblena and Nomarhenh Daive Villanueva of the Municipality of Surallah, South Cotabato took runner-up and third olace honors in the Junior Open Latin categories.
Bunayog also said it was a privilege for him to be among the panel of adjudicators being a licensed international adjudicator of the World Dance Council.
