Singapore unveils 2019 activities

Whether you are a foodie, explorer, action Seeker, culture Shaper, socialiser or collector at heart, Singapore’s 2019 events calendar promises to feed your spirit all year round.

Among the highlights are notable international events such as The World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards, which will be held in Asia for the first time in June; the return of the most anticipated circus act, Cirque du Soleil; a new edition of the visually-arresting Rainforest Lumina at the Singapore Zoo; Disney events featuring Pixar as part of the third year of partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board; and art events such as the Singapore Biennale and the inaugural Southeast Asia (S.E.A.) Focus. 2019 will see two grand retail project launches: the Design Orchard (opening January); and the highly-anticipated Jewel Changi Airport (opening end March).

The newly-restored Raffles Hotel will also open its doors to guests in 2019.

Culture Shapers can discover their inner creativity as 2019 kicks off with Singapore Art Week (SAW). Art takes over the beautiful city for nine days in January, transforming it into a veritable gallery with exhibitions, art trails, talks, art fairs and large-scale art projections. Action Seekers from around the world are expected to flock to Grand Prix Season Singapore in September. To round up 2019, Orchard Road will again be the focal point as Christmas On a Great Street kicks off.
