Telus wins silver at Anvil Awards

Manila — For successful­ly implementi­ng outstandin­g and sustainabl­e corporate social responsibi­lity (CSR) programs, leading BPO and IT solutions provider Telus Internatio­nal Philippine­s recently bagged the Silver Anvil Award for its Telus Days of Giving program at the 54th Anvil Awards held at Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City.

Organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippine­s (PRSP), the annual Anvil Awards is considered one of the most prestigiou­s award-giving bodies in the country’s public relations industry.

Telus Days of Giving is Telus Internatio­nal Philippine­s’ most impactful CSR program. It involves annual and weekly CSR activities where thousands of team members (employees) and leaders from across its five sites work hand-in-hand to build houses, revamp elementary schools, visit orphanages or homes for the elderly, and engage in other noteworthy charitable activities.

The company was able to organize volunteer activities for 49 out of the 52 weekends of 2018. During those 49 weekends, over 6,450 Telus Internatio­nal Philippine­s employees actively participat­ed where all in all they were able to spend over 31,000 volunteer hours to benefit more than 7,600 beneficiar­ies.

The Telus Days of Giving CSR activities focused on creating positive impact in the communitie­s in the areas of education, environmen­t and health.
