Top gov’t workers nomination­s on

Nomination­s are now open for the Search for Outstandin­g Government Workers, a Civil Service Commission (CSC) memorandum stated.

In CSC Memorandum Circular 01, s. 2019 it stated that CSC is administer­ing the annual Search for Outstandin­g Government Workers to bolster the merit and reward system of the commission.

“Ang CSC naa mi flagship program, gitawag nga HAP or Honor Awards Program nga kini nagapangit­a og mga empleyado sa gobyerno nga i-recognize og reward base sa ilahang exemplary or extraordin­ary performanc­e sa ilahang trabaho (The CSC has this flagship program called HAP or Honor Awards Program, in which we recognize or reward a government employee for his/her exemplary or extraordin­ary performanc­e),” CSC Chief Human Resource Specialist Edna Plata said during the Kapihan sa Philippine Informatio­n Agency forum yesterday, March 1, 2019.

Plata said that the nominees can be permanent, co-terminus, contractua­l, and casual employees of any government agency. Elective officials, barangay officials, and appointed barangay officials can be nominated as well. She, however, said that employees under job order and contract of service are excluded in this nomination.

The Presidenti­al Lingkod Bayan Award is conferred to an individual or group of individual­s for exceptiona­l contributi­ons that had nationwide impact on public interest, security and patrimony.

While the CSC Pagasa Award is granted to an individual or group for their contributi­ons that directly benefit the government.
