The Book of the living

IAM worried for the people who worship idols and for those who do any kind of evil. I believe I have many friends and relatives like them. And even strangers. I’m worried for them, too. I really want people to mend their ways and contribute no matter how small, to the betterment of the world.

It is very clear in the Bible. Even in the book of Revelation, I like all people’s names to be written in the Book of the Living. So they will not be thrown into the lake of fire. “Books were opened, and then another book was opened, the book of the living.” (Rev. 20:12). “Whoever did not have his name written in the book of the living was thrown into the lake of fire.” (Rev. 20:15).

So that he can enter the New Jerusalem, the City of God, a sinner must wash his robes clean. “Happy are those who wash their robes clean and so have the right to eat the fruit from the tree of life and to go through the gates into the city. But outside the city are the perverts and those who practice magic, the immoral and the murderers, those who worship idols and those who are liars both in the words and deeds.” (Rev. 22:15)

To be thrown into the lake of fire is the second death.

“But cowards, traitors, perverts, murderers, the immoral, those who practice magic, those who worship idols, and all liars--the place for them is the burning lake with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” (Rev. 21:8)
