RUGBY FOOTBALL All girls invit'l tournament unfurls

A total of 18 of teams will see action in the All Girls Rugby 7s Invitational Tournament that unfurls at the Tionko field, Barangay 76-A in Matina, Davao City today.

Philippine Rugby Football Union (PRFU) regional development officer Blessie Kate delos Santos, in Thursday's Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at The Annex of SM City Davao, said the teams will come from different parts of the Visayas and Mindanao.

Teams are coming from General Santos City, Iloilo Province, Bacolod City and Davao City.

"The tournament is organized in celebration of the International Women's Month," Delos Santos said.

It will feature the under-12 and under-16 touch ruby, under-16 tackle and the women's open tackle events.

The formats in each category will depend on the number of teams.

Top teams will receive trophies and medals from the Sports Development Division of the City Mayor's Office (SDD-CMO). They will also claim Jollibee gift certificates.
