Lash in Bloom
The primary function of the human eyelashes is to protect the eyes from dust and other foreign particles. But through the years, this function has evolved to more than just purpose but also towards aesthetics. People resort to fake eyelashes or waterproof mascara + curlash to make the eyes more alive and awake before heading out of the house.
I was looking for something fun and new to try one afternoon after work and so decided to have my semi-permanent eyelash extension from Browhaus, Abreeza Ayala Mall.
Before the procedure, the friendly staff told me that it might take about 2 hours and that I may feel a little stingy feeling. And so I already prepared myself.
Choosing the multi-voluminous option, I learned that the client can actually customize the eyelash look that they want. They can pick natural, cat eyes, or doll for the lash shapes. I chose cat eyes with the recommendation of the staff as well.
For the length, the client can choose from 8 millimeters to 13 millimeters. The staff told me my natural eyelash is estimated to be around 10 to 11 millimeters already and suggested I can pick 11 mm so it wouldn’t be too long. The client can also choose the type and intensity of the curl that will be used. There’s B to D, with D being the most curled. I chose C.
As for the pain, I actually did not feel anything significantly painful. It was very tolerable. For people who have regular waxing, threading, or facial cleansing appointments, Brow Haus eyelash extension actually has no pain to it.
I loved the results and they even gave me eyelash brush to maintain it every now and then.
I was told that if I am a good girl and I follow the aftercare instructions diligently, the extension may last for 2 months! The friendly staff showed me her multi-natural lash extensions and said she even went to the beach last Holy Week and it still has good curls and cluster until now.
The eyelash made my morning preparations easier as I need not put mascara or use curlash anymore. At the same time, since I chose cat’s eyes, it creates an illusion that I have cat’s eye eyeliner as well. And the best part, it’s not heavy on the eyelids just how some fake eyelashes are.
After three weeks from installation, I was scheduled to go back to Browhaus for a tune-up.
