ADVISORY Chinese Baptist Church postpones reopening
THE Davao Chinese Baptist Church announces the postponenment of its reopening for worship service and prayer meetings.
In a letter, Pastor Rev. Arnel V. Tan, said, “As much as we want to open the church to restore our worship services we have, in fervent prayer, decided that we postpone the opening of the church for worship services and prayer meetings INDEFINITELY until the situations allow.”
Child dedications, weddings, and water baptism are also on hold.
He said the decision was arrived at after a thorough assessment, adding that, “we find that there is godly wisdom in temporarily closing the church doors. This is so that we may not be a risk to the greater community.
Tan also said an advisory on the resumption of all worship services and prayer meetings will also be released as soon as the situation becomes more stable.
Meanwhile, he said the church continues to minister to the spiritual needs of its flock through its online livestreaming. Messages are posted on Facebook and YouTube (for Facebook, search DAVAO CHINESE BAPTIST CHURCH, and DCBC MULTIMEDIA; and for YouTube, search CHIBAP CHURCH DAVAO).
On intermittent arrangements, the pastors are in church for those who need prayers.
