Duterte casts last vote as President in Davao

OUTGOING President Rodrigo R. Duterte cast his vote at Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School (Dranhs) on the afternoon of election day, May 9, 2022.

Duterte, clad in navy blue polo shirt and pants, and black leather shoes, arrived at the premises of Dranhs at around 4:30 in the afternoon.

He was accompanied by his common-law wife, Honeylet Avaceña and Senator Bong Go with the usual Presidential Security Group party in tail.

The president got in at his precinct 1245A before 5:00 pm and Duterterte brought with him his “kodigo” or list of preferred candidates for national and local posts to guide him while shading his ballot.

Approximately less than an hour later, he cast his ballot in the vote-counting machine and finished voting.

Duterte gave a short message outside his precinct to thank Dabawenyos and supporters who were present at Dranhs to witness him cast his final electoral vote as president. (Read full story on sunstar.com.ph/davao)
