DavNor re-elects Jubahib

DAVAO del Norte re-elected Edwin “Kuya Gov’’ Jubahib as its governor with 310,947 votes for the May 9 National and Local Election.

Jubahib won against Roy Catalan who gained 202,112 votes.

“Daghang Salamat sa inyong dakong suporta ug pagsalig sa among katakos isip inyong mga lider ug mangangala­gad sa kanunay. Isip amahan sa probinsya ug Kuya sa matag pamilyang Dabaonon, ako nagahangyo sa tanang nidaug sa milabay’ng piniliay nga magkahiusa ug magtinaban­gay kita sa paghatag og tiunay nga serbisyo sa katawhan alang sa padayon ug malungtaro­ng kalamboan sa Probinsya sa Davao del Norte (Thank you for all the support and trust you have given me as the leader. I am hoping that all winners of the May 9 election will join me to serve the province of Davao del Norte).” Jubahib said from his Facebook Page.

According to Jubahib, he will continue his flagship program food-sufficienc­y “KAWsa sa AGrikultur­a PAnginabuh­ian sa barangaY (KAAGAPAY)” as well as the ongoing projects for flood control, anti-surgency program, free hospitaliz­ation, additional support for farmers and businesses to attract investors in the province. Meanwhile, Oyo Uy was elected as the Vice-Governor with 286,057 votes against Board Member Frank Gentiles who gained 201, 737 votes.

Nickel Suaybaguio (129, 039 votes) has been elected as the province’s District 1 Board Members with Popo Estabillo (117,917 votes), Tete So (111,521 votes), Shirley Belen Aala (101,346 votes) and Frank Remitar (99,688 votes).

Davao del Norte Distric 2 members elected Popop Catalan with 146, 840 votes, Janet Tanong (135,082), Orly Amit (121,847), Dr. Denise Marianne Lu (120,238), and Mawe Pamisaran (111,779).

Pantaleon Bebot Alvarez has been re-elected with 143,057 as the District 1 Congressma­n and Congressma­n Alan Dujali in District 2 with 166,750 votes.

“Salamat sa inyong way puas nga supporta kanako sa akong tumong nga pagpadayon sa pagpalambo sa atong 1st District sa Davao del Norte. Kamo akong inspirasyo­n nga magpadayon sa public service! (Thank you for your undying support in my goal to bring developmen­t in the 1st District of Davao del Norte),” Alvarez said on his Facebook page.

All elected officials will start their office on June 30, 2022.
