Holy ChildSCTT, Coaches Corner secure 2nd straight PSL Davao wins

HOLY Child-Sweet Case Travel and Tours (SCTT) and Coaches Corner Dragons each secured their second consecutiv­e victories to maintain their positions atop the 18-under division in the recent resumption of the Pilipinas Super League (PSL) Davao City leg at the Las Terrazas gym in Maa.

Holy Child-SCTT extended its win streak to 2-0 in the 18-under (18U) pool B after defeating Aeon Luxe, 67-56.

Duke Solon led Holy Child-SCTT with 16 points, six rebounds, four steals, and six assists in the league organized as a qualifying tournament for the upcoming PSL Mindanao finals.

Aeon Luxe dropped to 1-1, placing second in the pool A team standings, while Macs and Spearhead-Brad remained at the bottom with identical 0-1 cards.

In pool A, the Coaches Corner Dragons demolished Pacman-AXS Isulan, 84-74, with Charles Vitor’s standout performanc­e of 24 markers, eight boards, four assists, and two steals.

The Coaches Corner Dragons thus retained its lead with a perfect 2-0 mark, while 1-1 Pacman-AXS Isulan followed closely behind at 1-1. The Philippine­s Bearcats Elite and BLBE-ATL shared the bottom spot with 0-1 records.

In the 16-under category, Pacman-AXS Isulan drubbed Holy Child Dr. K Dental, 83-79, claiming the solo lead in pool A. Both teams were tied at 1-0 before playing against each other.

With its loss, Holy Child Dr. K Dental was relegated to the second spot along with the Amsai Lions, each sporting a 1-1 card.

The Bushido Davao Rover Team remained winless at 0-2.

Games will resume this weekend.
