CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—The Department of Interior and Local Government ( DILG) hailed the Province of Pampanga for its long term peace and order initiatives.

DILG Regional Director Florida Dijan, during the recent Peace and Order Council meeting at King’s Royale Resort and Hotel in Bacolor town, disclosed that the administration of Governor Lilia Pineda is worthy of emulation by other local chief executives in Central Luzon.

“Other governors should follow the example of Pampanga in its peace and order initiatives, with or without elections. Everything is being managed well by the Provincial Peace and Order Council kaya walang masyadong problema dito. Dapat gayahin ng ibang probinsiya ito para walang malaking problema sa Central Luzon,” she said.

Dijan noted that even in the past national and local polls, there were no casualties from election-related incidents.

“Napakaganda para sa amin sa DILG na walang casualty noon. I am sure that with all these preparations of the Peace and Order Council, the coming barangay elections will also be peaceful and orderly under the leadership of Governor Nanay. Sabi nga ni governor eh, Hello! Magtrabaho kayo!” she added.

Dijan also lauded Governor Pineda for her support to the Philippine National Police, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, the DILG, local officials, civil society groups, the private sector, and government agencies attached to the council in to help in maintaining peace and order in the province.

“Congratulations to Governor Pineda and the Kapampangans. I really hope other provinces will make Pampanga a model in maintaining peace and order all the time,” concluded Dijan.
