Kayo ay nasiyahan, kayo ay may natutunan," he said.

As for winning the Best Actor trophy, Padilla said he is not after the recognition.

To recall, Robin won the Best Actor award last year for action flick "10,000 Hours". The said movie, directed by Joyce Bernal, received a total of 14 awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.

In this year's MMFF, the actor is working opposite perennial on-screen partner Vina Morales in "Bonifacio," a historical action epic movie that brings to light the powerful, true-to-life story of Filipino revolutionary Andres Bonifacio, played by Robin, unfolding through the eyes of a young man (Daniel Padilla) in this day and age.

Joining them in the movie are Rommel Padilla, Ping Medina, Cholo Barretto, Isko Moreno, Joem Bascon, RJ and Daniel Padilla, veteran actor Eddie Garcia, with the special participation of Jericho Rosales as Jose Rizal.

"Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo" and other MMFF entries will open on Christmas Day.
