Guv lauds Duterte, PCSO for 26 ambulance units in CL

OF SAN FERNANDO---Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda thanked on Thursday President Rodrigo Duterte and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) for the provision of 26 brand new ambulance to the four provinces of Central Luzon.
A total of nine units of ambulance units were given to Pampanga. Other units were distributed to the provinces of Tarlac, Zambales and Bulacan.
The distribution, held at the Benigno Hall, Pampanga Capitol Compound was personally facilitated and handed by Ret. Gen. Jose Jorge E. Corpuz, PCSO chairman under the agency’s Ambulance Donation Progr am.
The governor lauded the PCSO for their unwavering support and goodwill in providing assistance not only in Pampanga but in the entire Central Luzon.
“This is a big help for the people particularly the poor who are needing emergency response in times of sickness and calamities,” Governor Pineda sai d.
She also advised the end-users to take extra good care and properly maintain the new ambulance units as she stressed that an ambulance is a basic necessity in any hospital and other health facilities.
Corpuz said the PCSO donation program is aimed at providing
ambulance units to municipalities, hospitals, national government offices and foundations for emergency response and patient transfer as way of giving charity assi st an ce.
Second District Representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, former Second District Congressman Mikey Macapagal Arroyo, Board Members Cherry Manalo, Anthony Torres, Rosve Henson and Philippine Councilors’League-Pampanga Chapter President Olga Frances David Dizon, Provincial Administrator Andres Pangilinan, Jr. also graced the occasion.
In Pampanga, the recipients of the ambulance units were the municipalities of Bacolor, San Luis, Porac and San Simon, Mabalacat City, City College of Angeles, Dr. Emigdio C. Cruz Sr. Memorial Hospital in Arayat town, Pampanga State Agriculture University (PSAU) and Dr. Andres J. Luciano District Hospital, both situated in Magalang town.
Governor Pineda also expressed gratitude to other neighboring provinces whose mayor-recipients also attended the event.--Ma.ReinaLenLuna/PampangaPIO
