ANTO TOMAS - First termer Mayor Johnny Sambo of this town recently disclosed his aspiration to bag the Department of Interior and Local Government's (DILG) Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) award next year.
Sambo made the statement during the recent conferment of the SGLG to outstanding cities and municipalities in the region where Sto. Tomas was cited as Post-Compliance Passer.
Sambo acknowledged the unity and cooperation of his fellow public officials and other agencies of the government for attaining such prestigious award despite the size of their municipality.
He stressed that such recognition manifests that the local government is really working to provide inclusive development for the municipality and its people.
However, Sambo expressed his hopes that they will win the actual SGLG which is accompanied by the Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) amounting to P3-million for winning municipalities.
He said that the PCF will be a big help in financing projects which will uplift the lives of his constituents and provide convenience to tourists and invest or s.
