Maine Mendoza on showbiz: ‘I still have a lot to learn’

-

AMID fame and popularity, Maine Mendoza said she is still not used to life in show business. More than a year since she became a household name thanks to noontime variety program "Eat Bulaga” and its segment “Kalyeserye,” Mendoza's star is still shining bright on television.

Her on-screen team-up with Alden Richards is still well-received by the viewing public, her commercials are being aired religiously on television while her face was plastered on billboards along major thorough fares.

She was even picked by Queen of All Media Kris Aquino to be part of her first online venture, proving that Mendoza is still show business' hottest pr oper t y.

But amid all this, Mendoza said it is still not quite sinking in yet.

"I think it is safe to say that I am still in the process of familiarizing," she said.

Mendoza added: "I still have a lot of things to learn and I think it would take me a long time to get used to everything."

With one solo movie with Richards, more than a dozen magazine covers and numerous endorsements under her belt, the 21-year-old hinted that there's no stopping now.

"We are currently working on something outside 'Eat Bulaga' at dapat abangan nila ito."

Rumors have it that a soap opera starring the two are already on the works.
