Vin­tage bomb found in CSF

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - A vin­tage bomb which sus­pected made dur­ing World War II was found in a barangay in this city on Wed­nes­day.

The vin­tage bomb was kept in a bag left in Barangay Saguin here and was ob­tained through a re­port from concerned res­i­dents, au­thor­i­ties said.

An in­ves­ti­gat­ing team from Po­lice Re­gional Of­fice III said that the bomb could still ex­plode if not prop­erly han­dled.

The said vin­tage bomb is now in cus­tody of Po­lice Re­gional Of­fice III and is set for safe det­o­na­tion to avoid caus­ing a threat to the public.

Cit­i­zens are, mean­while, ad­vised to be vig­i­lant and re­main calm if they no­tice the same in­ci­dent and im­me­di­ately re­port to au­thor­i­ties for proper in­ves­ti­ga­tion and dis­posal.
