UAC’s world-class anniversary special set at the LausGroup Event Centre
The University of the Assumption Choral (AUC) will mount its first ever concert on January 14, 2017, 7:00 pm, for the benefit of the new University Chapel’s construction which will be the center of formation and worship for all Assumptionists: students, alumni, and empl oyees.
Formerly known as the UA President’s Choir (ACPC), UAC is composed of students from the different colleges and schools of the University of the Assumption (UA).
In 2002, the UAC participated and won in the Busan Choir Olympics in South Korea which was participated by around 8,000 singers from 48 nations. From then, it continues to spread the UA mission through their music.
Today, under the leadership of conductor and trainor Joseph Erwin Limpin, UAC performs in various events on and off the campus.
The chorale reached out to other singing groups by conducting training and encouraging school based singers to celebrate their gift and sing praises to God through the annual choral competition on the solemnity of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the patroness of the first Archdiocesan Catholic University of Asia.
“UA in Concert” will feature the present and former members of the UAC and UAPC singing a wide repertoire of music sacra, Filipiniana and inspirational music, and contemporary songs.
For tickets, please call or reserve through the UA External Affairs and Media Office at 961 3617 loc. 138.
