EDUCATION IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS

-

VANGIE M. PARAS

EDUCATION, a nine letter word. Easy to read but not everybody can have this. Not everybody is eager for it. It may have different meaning to different kinds of people. Some may define it as purely acquisition of knowledge. Other may define it as change for the better and for a student point of view most of them will say that education is something that is hard to achieve. Optimistic people see education as key to success and I’m definitely agreed into this.

When I was young I always wish to have money so that I could buy the things I want and to support my family. But how can I have this? How can I achieve this? Those questions remained in my mind. This has motivated me to struggle and finish my study. The first thing that came into my mind is to study hard to have a good grades.

Yes, it’s hard. As a student you will face many challenges. You have to exert more effort, money, time and spend sleepless nights in reviewing for the next lesson or for the upcoming exams, do assignments and projects to meet the deadline set by the teacher. Every students experience what I have experienced during my school days. That sleepless night, perspiration and sacrifices are worth it at the end of this waits the fruit of your hardship.

Now that I am a teacher, I would not be a successful teacher if I didn’t value my education. To those who are still students strive hard and aim high.

Truly that education is indeed important. So as early as now while you are young cherish, perspire and sacrifice for your education. Because your education will be your key to have a better and successful life. — oOo— The author is Master Teacher II at Tinajero High School Annex, Sta. Lucia Resettlement, Magalang, Pampanga
