FRIENDSHIP IS PRECIOUS

-

During my younger years, I remember my classmate saying I want to become a teacher ONLY. The word ONLY put negative connotation to teaching profession.

I ask her why she wanted to become a teacher ONLY. She told me, because that’s the only course afford by her parent. It makes me sad because teaching/ or being a teacher was not really her want or first choi ce.

Now that I am a teacher, I have experienced what is like to be a teacher. Being a teacher is not ONLY. It is something that we should be proud of and shout to the world and tell everyone that you are a teacher.

To be called as teacher you must be educationally qualified and pass the board examination for teachers so that you will have a license to teach.

To be educationally qualified is not that easy you have to exert more effort to pass all the subject and requirements and do the thesis thing and that is one of the hardest part.

To pass the board exam you have to spend time in reviewing previous lessons. That is not also easy that’s why the license is not just merely a piece of card it is the fruit of hardship of a teacher.

If you have the licensed that means you are already professional teacher qualified to teach each child with the knowledge and values for them to become a better person. As a professional we are being paid by the government.

We as a teacher should not work only or the purpose of earning money but we have to have full commitment to teaching because teaching is not only a profession, it is a vocation also where GOD entrust to us to mold the youth and teach them as if they are our own children. — oOo— The author is Master Teacher II at Tinajero High School Annex, Sta. Friendship is one of the most precious gifts of life. A person who has true friends in life is lucky enough as friendship makes life thrilling. It makes life a sweet and pleasant experience. Friendship is indeed, an asset in life. It can lead us to success or to doom. It all depends on how we choose our friends.

True friendship is a feeling of love, sharing and caring. It is a feeling that someone understands and appreciates you as you are, without any exaggeration, flattery and pretensions. It gives a feeling that you are ‘wanted’and that you are ‘someone’and not a faceless being in the crowd. A true friend stands by you through thick and thin. True friendship knows no boundaries or demarcations of caste, creed, race and sex.

Friendship is both good and necessary. Man cannot live all alone. He is a social being. He needs someone to share his joys and sorrows. Generally, it is only the people of the same age, character and background, mentality, etc., who can understand him and understand his problems. Friends are needed for support and for sharing.

According to C. Joybell C., “There are still some wonderful people left in this world! They are diamonds in the rough, but they’re around! You’ll find them when you fall down– they’re the ones who pick you up, who don’t judge, and you had to fall down to see them! When you get up again, remember who your true friends are!”

According to Angie Karan, “The quality of a friend is one who can touch your heart and soul from across the world or across the room. Trust that person who can see through the sadness behind your smile. The one who can hear your words in your silence, can feel your love in your anger, trust them. They are your REAL, TRUE and PURE friends.”
