MY CHOICE, MY MOVE, MY LIFE

-

To be a teacher is not an easy task. The future of each student depends on her or him. He or She can break or make one’s life. This is the reason for we consider his or her role in the classroom very critical. He or She chooses to make moves to fulfill his or her teaching life.

Just look at the life of a teacher for a day. When a teacher wakes up in the morning; he or she tries to figure out what is going to happen in school. Will his or her students learn something significant about the lessons to be taught after the period? Will his or her students become attentive as he or she starts the discussion? Will his or her students perform at their best in accomplishing the tasks that have been prepared by him or her? These are some of the questions that play in his or her mind as he or she stands from bed.

As he or she goes to school, he or she meets her superior and colleagues. Imagine, his or her life does not stop with the children alone. He or She needs to mingle with his or her boss and co-workers. A lot of documents must be submitted, daily, weekly and even monthly. Actually, even towards the end of the school year, there are still a lot of paper works which must be accomplished. Collaborative teaching and communication are essentially remembered by every teacher as strategies to deliver well the lessons to be taught to students. These are the tasks that are completed by each teacher at the beginning and prior to the end of the school year.

Despite these challenges, a teacher like me chooses still to continue with what has to be carried out as a mentor for children and as a part of an institution for the realization of vision and mission. Though it is quite difficult to perform the duties and responsibilities that are attached to the chosen profession, a teacher like me makes moves to form and transform every student into a responsible individual of a society. Although many issues and concerns are faced, a teacher like me sees to it that the life of each child is filled with dreams and aspirations for himself or herself. This way, the life of a teacher becomes meaningful in the eyes not only of the people surrounding him or her but also in the eyes of God. So, let us altogether make a choice to make a move, making a significant contribution in the community as part of teacher’s rewarding life.
