3 OLFU students take on the Korean experience

- Sun.Star Staff Writer

Andrew Timothy Castulo of the College of Hospitality and Institutional Management (CHIM) will be attending the Hanbat National University; while Ann Camille Jacinto and Michelle Mausisa of the College of Physical Therapy are headed for SuSeong University.

Made p o ssi b l e through OLFU’s dynamic student exchange program, this valuable overseas student experience is borne out of the collaborative efforts between OLFU’s Center for Professional Development and Academic Partnership (CPDAP), Hanbat and SuSeong.

Students Castulo, Jacinto and Mausisa had undergone a pre-departure orientation in late February to familiarize them with the itinerary; guide them on general do’s and don’ts as travelers, and give some information on what to expect in Korea.

Prior to this, they had successfully completed all necessary documentations and endorsements required from their respective colleges.

In Korea, they will be receiving comprehensive and extensive instruction, and will immerse themselves in the Korean way of life. The three exchange students will stay for the first semester of college in the said country until June 22 which marks the end of their school period.

Joining them at the orientation were OLFU officials: Dr. Heracleo D. Lagrada, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Graduate School Dean; Mr. TaeJong Lee, South Korean Coordinator; and Dr. Ramonita Salazar.

CPDAP will regularly monitor the students’status while in Korea, in cooperation with OLFU’s Korean Coordinator, Mr. Lee.
