The brutal death of Cris Mendez in the hands of a Greek Letter Society served as a wake up call for all school heads to investigate whether such a group exist in the vicinity and banned totally in school all sort of fraternity with the same ideals in its initiation.

This advisory was communicated to all students via meeting of the PTA General Assembly conducted for the purpose of informing them of what bad effects a frat society could bring.

To date, Greek letter societies are proliferating in the country and other groups are thriving to make a name in the scene, thus the alarming situation is getting stiff and the root tension may not be resolvable.

The town of Lubao is not spared with these kind of groups. The existence of Tru Bloods, Bloods, Creeps, TST, BNG, 4K, Ganztah Crew, TBS, Nazareth, Tau Gama, and Guns and Roses to name a few of the many groups of the frat boys involved in many controversies is already unnerving.

Most of these frat members are still minors and others are out of school youth. They are recruiting new members on the basis of a wrong premise and ideology and ending up on an on going ideological war. Reports have it that a concerted effort to dismantle this groups are on going to lessen the number of juvenile delinquents but the law has no sharp teeth for the implementation.

On the other hand many of our respected leaders were that brothers and their ideals are simply great.

They have this so called idea that a frat master is to prepare the members for the greatest usefulness in the causes of humanity, freedom and dignity of the individual.

They also encourage the highest and noblest form of manhood and to aid down- trodden humanity in its effort to achieve higher social, economic and intellectual status.
