Sus­pected pusher killed An­ge­les po­lice op­er­a­tion

AN­GE­LES CITY — A sus­pected drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust op­er­a­tion con­ducted by the city po­lice last Wed­nes­day.

The An­ge­les City Po­lice Drug En­force­ment Unit (ACPDEU) iden­ti­fied the sus­pect Noel Car­bungco, 51, a res­i­dent of R.D Reyes Street, Barangay Santa Trinidad, An­ge­les City.

The DEU, un­der the lead­er­ship of In­spec­tor Ger­ald Quiambao con­ducted the anti-drug op­er­a­tion at 10pm at a Mus­lim Com­pound in Purok 6, Barangay Pam­pang, An­ge­les City which led to the sus­pect’s ar­rest.

Af­ter the drug deal was con­sum­mated, the sus­pect re­port­edly sensed that it was a set and im­me­di­ately drew a Cal­iber .38 re­volver from his black sling bag and fired to­wards the po­lice­man who acted as poseur buyer.

The of­fi­cer fired back which re­sulted in the sus­pect’s in­stan­ta­neous death, ac­cord­ing to Quiambao. Con­fis­cated from sus­pect’s pos­ses­sion and con­trol were four sa­chets con­tain­ing white crys­talline sub­stance sus­pected to be metham­phetamine hy­drochlo­ride. The po­lice also re­cov­ered Car­bungco’s gun and marked money amount­ing to P500.
