Despite persistent rumors of their “breakup,” Kiray Celis quickly jumped to Kirst Viray’s defense following insinuations about his sexual i t y.

Reports about the viral tandem’s split began after they unfollowed each other on Instagram. Kiray even renamed their shared YouTube ch an n el .

Why did Kiray Celis unfollow Kirst Viray on Instagram?

Kiray and Kirst quashed the said rumors after attending the Star Magic Ball 2017 together last September 30.

“Like, we’re happy,” said the young comedienne during Converse’s White Chucks Party.

Similar to her claims in the past, Kiray denied that the model-turned-actor is already courting her.

“Hindi, walang ganun. I mean, we’re friends. We’re good friends,” she said.

She emphasized that they are spending time together not for anyone but for t h em sel v es.

“Kung ano kami, masaya kami, and hindi kami parang umaarte para sa mga tao. Like, pag nakikita mo kaming magkasama, kasi gusto namin magkasama, hindi dahil para sa mga tao,” she explained.

Despite being linked to each other for almost a year now, several quarters are still “doubting”Kirst’s sexuality.

“Alam mo, si Kirst, kasi siya yung taong sobrang friendly. Hindi ‘yan namimili— bakla, tomboy, lalaki, o babae. Sobrang friendly niya,” she sai d.

According to Kiray, the fact that he’s “too friendly” sometimes causes disagreements between them.

"Minsan nag-aaway kami palagi, kasi sobrang friendly niya, hindi na tama. Kahit kanino, hindi siya namimili ng kaibigan. Kaya siguro kapag may kasama siyang bakla, iniisip na ganun din siya,” she explained.

But Kiray was quick to add: "Pero hindi, malabo."
