Kapampangan youth join regional conference

Youth members from the province of Pampanga attended a Central Luzon based conference organized by a catholic community, Couples For Christ (CFC) – Youth for Christ, held at the Col. Jesus Lapuz Memorial Sports Complex in Concepcion, Tarlac, October 28-29.

Members of the youth sector from the provinces in Central Luzon participated and competed in the various sports activities, such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, and the Amazing Race, which were organized as part of the said conference for the participants to socialize and practice sportsmanship.

Different creative contests were also prepared, including a dance contest, spoken poetry, battle of the bands, infomercial making, and junk art contest, for them to showcase their talents and artistry.

There were also different workshops which tackled different subjects such as leadership, patriotism, social awareness, and spirituality. Another workshop, which is intended for every couple coordinators in various areas in the region was done.

According to Arnel Estrada, provincial couple coordinator of Youth for Christ Pampanga, “The conference is all about nourishing our youths in their spiritual life. These conferences were made in order for the youth to engage in good things and avoid different bad vices and as they nourish and empower themselves, they always see to it that God is the center of their lives.”
