In view of the DepEd’s call to in­fuse strate­gic di­rec­tion to teach­ers, The Betis Na­tional High School, through the com­bined ef­forts the teach­ers, con­ducted a three­day LAC ses­sions on Pro­fes­sional De­vel­op­ment:

A Ca­pac­ity Build­ing sem­i­nar held on Oc­to­ber 25-27, 2017 at the fac­ulty lounge. This aimed to equip teach­ers with lead­er­ship, man­age­ment, and in­struc­tional skills re­quired to deal with the com­plex­i­ties posed by the in­creas­ing de­mands in the field; to tap teach­ers po­ten­tials and to in­cul­cate the im­por tance of com­mit­ment and ded­i­ca­tion.

The ses­sions were par­tic­i­pated in by the 74 teach­ers of the school The speaker were: Miche­lin Danan and Rowel Diwa spoke on Ef­fec­tive Public Speak­ing, Ann Mar­jor ie Pico on Test Con­struc­tion, Sharie Miguel on Oral and Wr it­ten Com­mu­ni­ca­tion, Lu­nicita Ro­muar on Com­mon Gram­mat­i­cal Er­rors, Romelita Abordo on Teach­ing Strate­gies, Mar­lyn Jingco on In­struc­tional Ma­te­ri­als, Ernesto Balin­git on Pos­i­tive Dis­ci­pline Alvin Sibug on Com­puter Aided In­struc­tion.

Feed­backs, in­sights or re­flec­tions were given at the close of the ses­sions. With com­mon­nal­i­ties- the LAC ses­sions were a re­plen­ish­ments of the near ly rust­ing prior knowl­edge that they al­ready pos­sess..but teacher Carol Abar ri­en­tos feed­back dif­fered, “In­stead of en­joy­ing and spend­ing qual­ity time with her tod­dlers at this sem­break, what is in this ac­tiv­i­ties that are more wor­thy of my time?

And later quips, “In­deed! Re­fi­ills! They are wor­thy of my at­ten­dance”.
