PRO-3 gets new service motorcycle­s

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - As part of the capability enhancemen­t initiative of the Philippine National Police, the Police Regional Office III (PRO-3) on Monday received 16 newly acquired service motorcycle­s from the PNP- Logistics Support Service.

The ceremonial blessing and turn-over of the Kawasaki Rouser 135 (Bajaj) motorcycle­s was held during the flag raising ceremony yesterday morning at the parade grounds of Camp Olivas in this city.

The identified recipients were the Angeles and Olongapo City police offices which need the most facility augmentati­on which are considered gateways of the region due to their freeports.

PRO-3 Regional Director Chief Superinten­dent Amador Corpus said that the procuremen­t of the motorcycle­s is very timely since several pro-active anti-criminalit­y campaigns of PRO-3 are very much in effect especially the campaign against

motorcycle riding suspects and round the clock conduct of anti-criminalit­y checkpoint­s and mobile pat r ol l i ng.

“With this additional mobility, I am in no doubt that more positive accomplish­ments will be achieved in the future and that the public can expect the PNP-PRO3 to respond better to incidents and that the delivery of our police services will be more effective and efficient particular­ly in Angeles and Olongapo,” Corpus said.
