FAILURE TO SUCCESS FOR LEARNERS

Failure is the opposite of success and sometimes defines negatively. According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, Failure; lack of success, and inability to perform a normal function, these are the basic definition of Failure. Hence, it connotes negatively to the person whom it happened with. However, what if failure is beneficial and label positively.
According to Bill Gates, its fine to celebrate success but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure. Thus, failure is also important to an individual because you will learn something from it and you can aim higher and be more inspired to accomplish whatever your goals are.
As a teacher, it is very essential to teach learners that success will not only acquire by merely being an achiever. You can be successful by experiencing failure and learning from it is beneficial.
Why is failure important for success? What are the rationales behind its importance?
Failure can teach learners lessons aside from the typical classroom topics or subjects. It could be life lessons and experiences that could develop them holistically. It is not only about English, Math or Science but more important than that. It is about getting into the situation and able to learn from it.
Failure can build their character and how they deal with people and challenges in life. Learners can be more optimistic in attaining their dreams and accommodating in mingling to different people. They can avoid depression and can treat stress in a good way. Moreover, they can relate to people around them and can understand what others feel and say.
Failure can make them stronger and resilience. They can be adaptive and flexible to different situations and dilemmas. Thus, resolving them with utmost determination and perseverance. They can think of ways on how to make every bad circumstance into a lighter way.
Failure helps them learn, grow and encourages improvement. It inspires them to be productive and produce credible outputs.
Failure creates opportunities and encourages thinking. It pushes them to explore and be out of their comfort zone. Making them innovative and creative that could nourish their skills and creating door of opportunities for them to excel in whatever they do. It helps them to be analytic and critically susceptible to any information and situation.
Failure makes every learner courageous. It can make them a better and wise person that looks conditions at different perspective so that they will be prepared to any event and obstacles that comes into their way.
For whatever the reason, failure can make us assess our strengths and weaknesses. Hence, it can make new possibilities and chances for every circumstance a memorable one. Also, pondering a mistake to meaningful learning experiences that can deliberately turn a better future for all. Therefore, learners should appreciate failure for it can lead us to not only success but also better future.
