Students of the new millennium are highly captivated with the release of new and modern electronic gadgets. Almost 80% of their time during the day is focused and wasted on the use of these electronic­s menace, like cellphone; i-pod, laptop and P.S. P’s just name a few.

Students of today prepare to carry and handle two or more electronic gadgets rather than to carry and read their prescribed textbooks. Books are neglected and disregarde­d they are set aside and worse of all thrown away.

Students are lazy to read their textbooks cause its time consuming and heavy to carry around. Reading and relying on books to gather the needed informatio­n and skills to improve oneself is so difficult to come by this days.

Why read books all day long when you can avail it through the internet in a matter of minutes or for a few seconds. Time is the essence of today’s students; as a result book are perceive to be tedious and obsolete.

Don’t the millennial realized that books existed centuries ago and the bases of the much needed knowledge, informatio­n, opinions, ideas and skills needed to develop and modernize science and technology that brought about the invention and proliferat­ions of these electronic gadgets. No matter of how advance and modern is your gadget still electronic gadgets will not come into existence without the use of books.
