Only King James can tell

SURE, it didn’t happen. And so, on to a Game 7 between Cleveland and Indiana. That’s on Monday (April 30, PHL Time). It didn’t happen because Cleveland’s anticipated victory was a most unlikely thing to happen in the first place.

The screaming reason? Cleveland was on hostile territory yet again when it played Game 6 yesterday at Indiana’s home court.

In most times, if not virtually all the time, a visiting team loses in almost every single NBA game.

Yesterday’s Game 6 was no exception.

After Indiana built a slim 29-26 first quarter lead, the Pacers went on to post a 57-47 halftime margin on a 28-21 second quarter binge.

That somehow set the tone for a rout as Indiana ripped the game wide open in the third like it used to do in its two previous victories over Cleveland in the NBA’s

Easter Conference first-round playoffs.

Seizing the momentum of back-to-back stashing of the first two frames, Indiana bludgeoned Cleveland 35-20 for a 92-67 third quarter bulge.

Like a grandmaster who knows when it’s time to resign, Cleveland coach Tyronn

Lue finally accepted defeat when he willingly dispatched his second crew with still much time left in the game.

It was an ego-shattering 121-87 blowout loss for Cleveland, yes, but for LeBron

James and the Cavs, this was but a temporary setback.

For King James, there will always be Game 7 at their Quicken Loans Arena to more than look forward to.

Isn’t home sweet home the most fitting place to hold the Cavs’ victory celebration, their fans’ warm embrace a terrific trigger to achieve their dream?

But for that to materialize, the Cavs must produce points with consistency, leaving their worst shooting ever behind in Indianapolis.

They must also refit their feet with wings that can match, if not surpass, the speed which the Pacers had immensely displayed in Game 6.

Also, the fastbreaks and lane incursions Indiana had unleashed were mostly achieved mainly due to a lame defense seldom seen from the Cavs.

In contrast, Indiana’s aggressiveness was at its apex as it had even caused a cut on James’ left eyebrow.

Will the injury injure Cleveland’s advance to the next round? Only the King can tell.
