Garbo: Illegal drugs not tolerated in Mabalacat
campaign and operation against this drug menace,” Garbo said.
The mayor also introduced his administration’s campaign including the putting up of a group called Kaluguran Ke Ing Mabalacat Movement that will work against drugs, crimes, and corruption.
Garbo urged his constituents to support the campaign for the sake of the city and the future generation.
“I call all members of the community to support this for Mabalacat. Ito po yung isang itatayo natin laban sa lahat ng bagay na hindi nakakabuti sa ating mga mamamayan,” Garbo said.
The city’s chief executive officer disclosed that the arrest of PO1 Kevin Pierre Apostol, an intelligence officer the Arayat police, and two other suspected drug pushers identified as Angel Pabilona and Donato Felipe is a product of a continuous gathering of information.
“Marami po tayong ginagawa ngayon dito, there are many volunteers na nagbibigay po ng impormasyon sa atin. Una sa opisina ko including po yung ibang kasamahan natin sa field, men in uniform and also civilians,” Garbo said.
The mayor admitted that the poor ratio of policemen to civilians forced the city government to form force multipliers like the movement.
“Kailangan po yung bawat mayor magtayo ng sarili niyang force multipliers na nagbibigay ng mga intelligence [reports] and then we will leave the operation to the men in uniform,” Garbo said.
He even commended the city police for having the most number of apprehensions on drug personalities in the entire province.
“Number one po ang Mabalacat sa buong Pampanga. During our peace and order council meeting our PNP reported that there are already 100 apprehensions from January to April,” Garbo said.
