Nine vehicles involved in Rent Tangay Scheme recovers

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga - Nine vehicles involved in “Rent Tangay Scheme” were recovered recently by Regional Highway Patrol Unit3 (RHPU3) in three provinces in Central Luzon.

Superinten­dent Arnold Thomas Ibay, HPU3 regional director, said most of the recovered vehicles were six units from Bataan, one each from Olongapo City, Tarlac and Pampanga.

Ibay said recovered from in Bataan were a Honda City (DT-4362); Toyota Vios (AIG-955); Toyota Avanza (AEA-1681); Mitsubishi Adventure (nr5589) Kia Rio (EN-4630); Mitsubishi Strada pick-up (B2T-755) from Olongapo City a Toyota Vios (VR9736); Toyota Vios (VN3244) from Sta. Ignacia, Tarlac; a Hyundai Accent (MS3487) from San Simon, Pampanga.

He said that all the recovered vehicles were acquired from Jerico Que and Ramon Navarro.

Que and Navarro alleged that the recovered vehicles came from one source a certain Vicente Go, Ibay said.

RHPU3 is still conducting continuous investigat­ion for filling of appropriat­e charges if evidence warrants against Que and Navarro for engaging in illegal activities.

All the vehicles were impounded at RPHU3 headquarte­rs here for Macro Etching examinatio­n.

RPHU3 is still conducting the validation to available registered owner appearing on the certificat­e of registrati­on to inform them about the recovery of their vehicle, Ibay said. (Ric Sapnu)
