CULTURAL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM FOR TEACHERS

The Philippine Arts and Culture Educators’Society (PACES) Inc., with the Bulwagang Filipino Theatre Guild Inc., will be launching an outreach Cultural Enrichment Program for Teachers.
They are set to conduct activities in various schools divisions for School Year 2018– 2019, which include a National Conference Workshop on Culture and Arts Education (Daungan) which seeks to disseminate Philippine culture and arts education through teaching of the arts.
There will also be a National Dance and Movement for Performance and Assessment Clinic-Workshop (Dampa), which will provide teacher-artists and cultural workers a venue for sharing experiences in the performing arts.
Also included in the activities is the Konperensya’t Workshop sa Edukasyong Ritmo sa Daluyang Arte at Sining (Kwerdas), which aims to inculcate a sense of pride in the cultural heritage, and the Improvisational Theater Arts Workshop for Teachers’Classroom Stretegies or Dulaan which will strengthen linkages among school-initiated arts programs.
Last but not the least is a Visual Arts Workshop (Paleta Pinta Likha) and Integrated Media Arts Workshop (Silip Galaw) which is aimed to paying tribute to the works and achievements of teacher-artists and cultural workers.
The program, in short, aims to disseminate and equip our educators of more concrete base information on culture and arts from the experts/ resource persons with distinguished body of artistic works and establish credibility as artistic trainers.
Furthermore, this training is grounded in K to 12 curriculum that seeks to impart the Disciplined-base Art Education approach for developing the performing arts instruction in the formal schools.
Participation of public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-ofclasses policy stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith and the policy on off-campus activities stated in DepEd Order No. 66, s. 2017 entitled Implementing Guidelines on the Conduct of Off-campus Activities.
This is also subject to the no-collection policy as stated in Section 3 of Republic Act No. 5546 also known as An Act Prohibiting the Sale of Tickets and/ or the Collection of Contributions for Whatever Project or Purpose from Students and Teachers of Public and Private Schools, Colleges and Universities (Ganzon Law).
