CITY OF SAN FERNANDO— Former Board Member Ricardo Yabut filed his Certificate of Candidacy (CoC) recently hoping to land a seat in the House of Representatives to represent Pampanga’s fourth congressional district.

Yabut filed his CoC at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) office here running as an independent candidate. Yabut is expected to challenge the said electoral position currently held by incumbent Fourth District Representative Juan Pablo “Rimpy” Bondoc.

Yabut vowed to address the needs of various groups and sectors through legislation as well as lobby for more infrastructure and development projects for the district if elected. Yabut vowed to continue social programs for Pampanga’s fourth district. He will also file laws for out-ofschool youths to give them more access to education.

Yabut was a former three-term board member, in which time he was consistent garnering the highest number of votes, and is known to be a popular political figure in his district. During his time as provincial legislator, Yabut is one of the top performing board members in the province as far as legislation is concerned. His legislative agenda focused on environment, education, health, and infrastructure.
