Marang files candidacy for Angeles vice mayor
ANGELES CITY -- Actress Maricel "Marang" Morales on Tuesday filed her certificate of candidacy for vicemayor in this highly urbanized city.
Morales joined her runningmates including former Clark International Airport Corporation president Alexander Cauguiran, who filed his COC for mayor.
Vice-mayorable actress Maricel ‘Marang’ Morales joins mayor wannabe Alexander Cauguiran and councillor-aspirants Jay Sangil, Tony Mamac, Sonny Pahed, Edward Laki, Jay Flores, Harvey Santiago and Jhune Angeles on Tuesday during the filing of their CoCs.
Morales and Cauguiran are running under Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda’s Kambilan Party.
The actress-politician will face incumbent City Councilor Edu Pamintuan and former Vice-Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting in the vice mayoralty race next year.
The team’s candidates for councilor include Jay Sangil, Tony Mamac, Sonny Pahed, Edward Laki, Jay Flores, Harvey Santiago and Jhune Angeles.
If elected, Morales, Cauguiran, and their teammates vowed to push for programs to improve the delivery of basic services to the people.
