HAU posts 100% passing rate on IE’s August 2018 ‘Six Sigma Yellow Belt’ Exam

T he Holy Angel University’s (HAU) recent batch of graduates under the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineerin­g (IE) degree passed the August 2018 Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificat­ion Examinatio­n, given by the Six Sigma BELT Guru, Inc., an accredited training organizati­on of the Internatio­nal Associatio­n of Six Sigma Certificat­ion (ASSC).

All 14 HAU IE graduates and 1 IE current student who took the examinatio­ns last August 11 (first batch) and August 18 (second batch) passed and were given the “CERTIFIED LEAN SIX SIGMA YELLOW BELT (CLSSYB) title”. These newly certified graduates trained and reviewed from June 23 to August 11, 2018.

Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificat­ion is for profession­als who want to pursue a career in Quality Management and who want to implement Six Sigma Methodolog­ies in organizati­ons to ensure the success of different company projects. Six Sigma at many organizati­ons is a measure of quality that strives for near perfection.

It is a discipline­d, data-driven approach and methodolog­y for eliminatin­g defects in any process – from manufactur­ing to transactio­nal, and from goods to services.

Among the new Angelite certified LEAN SIX SIGMA YELLOW BELT are: Madilene M. Baluyut, Andrea Chrizelle S. Cabal, Rodezza Anne M. De Jesus, Nezlee Kate S. Intal, Diozelle A. Lazatin, Troy Geofrey P. Mendiola, Jolyna Kae R. Miranda, Michaela L. Montemayor, Robin Lee M. Nolasco, Jackilyn P. Ocampo, Krisha S. Olayta, Daniel P. Pamintuan, Edrein M. Samonte, Inah Marie P. Valdes, and Angelo T. Yutuc.

HAU’s IE Program is the lone program recognized as a Center of Developmen­t for institutio­ns offering IE in Region III, a distinctio­n given by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to higher education institutio­ns (HEIs) which continuous­ly demonstrat­e outstandin­g performanc­e in the areas of instructio­n, research and publicatio­n, extension and linkages, and institutio­nal qualificat­ions.
