447th Aldo Ning Kapampangan kicks-off

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - The Provincial Government of Pampanga launched the Trade Fair and Diskwento Caravan yesterday signalling the start of the 447th year Aldo Ning Kapampangan celebration, with the theme “Pamagdatila king Pamanang Kapampangan” at the Capitol Grounds here.

Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, along with Sangguniang Panlalawigan members, local chief executives, department heads led by Provincial Administrator Andres Pangilinan, Jr. and Capitol employees showed their support as they patronized Kapampangan products exhibited by micro small medium enterprises (msmes) and local government units (lgus).

The celebration was started with a concelebrated mass officiated by Archbishop Florentino Lavarias.

After the mass, attendees gathered for the flag raising ceremony, attended also by staff of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Department of Education (DepEd), beneficiaries of Tulong Panghanapbuhay Sa Ating Disadvantaged/ Displaced (TUPAD) and Special Program for Employment for Students (SPES) and candidates of Mutya ning Kapampangan 2018.

Other activities for the long-week celebration include nightly entertainment, ceremonial lighting of Christmas lanterns and fireworks display, medical and dental mission,

barangay health workers day, barangay tanod day, employees day, scavenger’s day, SK elected officials day, nanay community workers and purok leaders day, conferment of Governor Pineda as Honoris Causa Doctor of Public Administration, coronation night of Mutya ning Kapampangan and awards night of the Most Outstanding Kapampangan Awards (MOKA).— Leah Isidro De Fiesta/ Pampanga PIO
