HPG to launch ‘ride for a cause’on Dec. 8

CAMP OLI­VAS, Pam­panga - The High­way Pa­trol Group III (HPG-3) and the Re­gional Ad­vi­sory Coun­cil will launch the HPG “Ride for a Cause” on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 8.

“Di­vided We Ride, United We Ar­rive,” is the theme of the pro­ject, said Se­nior Su­per­in­ten­dent Kerby John Kraft, HPG-3 re­gional of­fi­cer.

Kraft said the ben­e­fi­cia­ries are burned and crip­pled chil­dren at the Philip­pine Or­thopaedic Hospi­tal and Philip­pine Gen­eral Hospi­tal, both in Metro Manila.

He said all mo­tor­cy­cle rid­ers all over Lu­zon such Ilo­can­dia Leg, Cen­tral Lu­zon, South­ern Ta­ga­log Leg and EDSA leg are ex­pected to par­tic­i­pate in the said pro­ject.

Par­tic­i­pants of the big bike (400 and above) and un­der bone (be­low 400cc) will start at Po­lice Re­gional Of­fice III (PRO-3) pa­rade grounds in Camp Oli­vas in the City of San Fer­nando and will then pro­ceed to the Su­bic Bay Ex­hi­bi­tion and Con­ven­tion Cen­ter in Olon­gapo City.

Regis­tra­tion fee for big bike is P2,000 while for un­der bone is P500.

Kraft said HPG will give par­tic­i­pants HPG belt buckle and HPG baller and or sticker.

He said they are ex­pect­ing 700 par­tic­i­pants in the HPG ride for a cause.

As­sem­bly time at the PRO-3 pa­rade grounds will be at 5:30 a.m. for big bikes while 6:30 a.m. for un­der bone, Kraft said.

Chief PNP Di­rec­tor Gen­eral Os­car Al­bay­alde will be the guest of honor and speaker dur­ing the launch­ing.— Ric Sapnu
