Bacolor’s most wanted drug personality falls
BACOLOR - The most wanted drug personality of this municipality was arrested during an antiillegal drug operations launched by the Bacolor Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit in Barangay Cabalantian on Sat ur day.
Chief Inspector Jan Carl Gopez, this town’s chief of police, identified the suspect as Enrique Maneses, 56, a resident of Barangay San San Isidro here.
Gopez said Maneses was an alleged notorious illegal drug pusher and has huge involvement in the proliferation of illegal drugs in the area which placed him on the top spot in the list of most wanted drug personalities in this town.
He disclosed that Maneses was already arrested for same illegal drug charges in the City of San Fernando two years ago, but was able to go out and continue his illegal activities.
During the buy-bust operation, Gopez said that Maneses positively sold a sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) to an undercover police agent
which immediately led to his arrest. Maneses’cohort identified as Resty Sapnu, 39, a resident of Barangay Sto. Niño in the City of San Fernando, was also arrested during the operation.
Confiscated from the suspects’possession were four more sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money used in the operation, and a cellphone which Maneses used for his illegal drug transactions.
The duo is currently detained at this town’s station detention facility as they both face charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
