LEARN TO SET PRIORITIES

-

LESLIE L. YAMBAO

Every day is a busy day and everyone seems to have their own business running. Everybody has their own stuffs to do and each clock is pressing it’s time for each person depending on how they need it and how they play with it. We all have our “so much” things to do but do we really manage them effectively and efficiently? How far can we go without mixing things up? Are we capable of accepting more in life?

There are a lot of people we can see on the street, school, workplace or simply, our community. Some would go to school, some would meet their boss, while others would just stay home cooking for their dinner. With today’s trend, you cannot stay being in a single field only. You need to be a good kid to your parents, loving parent to your children, smart student, hard working employee, efficient budget holder, sweet and caring partner, artistic designer, home builder and so much more all at the same time, all at the same body, which is - you. You are the capsule version of different individuals facing different battles combined in one body. And it is fascinating to know that many can manage and survive their lives even if it seems facing the whole world as if facing a battalion.

When you face the morning after you woke up each day, you are facing not just one, but a whole lot of races which you run all at the same time. Some may stumble, some may stop, but many survive. But surviving doesn’t mean you can do it all at the same time, starting the all the race at the same time and finishing it all at the same time. Just because it’s part of your daily life and routine doesn’t mean you have to put it all at once on your table and start working on it at the same time. Each may have its own essence in your life but you need to make sure that you are positioning them correctly in accordance to how much you need them and how much it will impact your life. Correct positioning is a great tool for you to set your priorities from the most beneficial down to the leisure one.

Once you were able to do it, you will be amazed by how great you have maximized your resources and push yourself to the limit because you know you cannot be left out, you must not be left out. Surviving this human race doesn’t mean you have to be a superman that can save the day. Surviving means learning to position your priorities right and being able to achieve more than what you think you can do.
