HEARTACHE OF SCIENCE

There is no doubt that we are living in the heights of Science and Technology. Numerous discoveries and inventions were designed to ease man’s needs for survival. In the education level, highlights in science education is to attained all the science learning competencies. Beneath everything of these there is a heartache in science. Heartache can be considered an emotional pain of a sentient being. It is a pain that lead to serious health complications or even death. Yes, science may have reach its height, how about the values formation in every scientific reformation?
Invention and innovations are good for they ease man’s survival but the residual leaves a scar in our environment. Environmental pollution exponentially increases as more cities were developed. Alteration of the genetic code sometimes we build our own Frankenstein’s monster Weapons for warfare were improved which were designed to annihilate humans in thousand folds. Learning competencies in science educations transforms the youngsters but values formations were over shadowed by intelligence.
More heartaches of science can be enumerated but these maybe enough for a wakeup call. Healing a heartache in science cannot be done in a blink of an eye. All it needs is a continuous small dose values injection. The role of every science educators is to teach science with values integration. The result is that may not take effect immediately in the system but the result could last longer.
