LEARNERS OF THE NEW MILLENNIUM

Changes with curriculum of our country affect the quality and system of education. These changes will greatly influence every employees involved with the education that will impact every learners about education. One of the changes in the education is adapting the use of new technology for teaching or learning purposes. With this we can achieve efficiency and effectiven­ess of every employee and also improve the learning capability of the students.

From “manila paper” to “PPT presentati­on” is truly one of the achievemen­ts already as it will not just give visual presentati­on for students but will also be enjoyable for students. For a student to enjoy attending school classes everyday is truly the breakthrou­gh here as they are more than willing to learn something new but they are captivated of the new procedures or ways of teachers implementi­ng education. With the use of computer, emails, social medias, etc. will allow them to communicat­e with their fellow classmates, teachers or even around the world.

Technology has the power to free us from those limitation­s, to make education far more portable, flexible, and personal; to foster initiative and individual responsibi­lity; to restore the treasure-hunt excitement to the process of learning. Technology offers another potential benefit as well: the internet can make education far, far more accessible, so knowledge and opportunit­y can be more broadly and equitably shared. Learners nowadays are called learners of the new millennium. They are the new generation of learners that need to understand their expectatio­ns and attitudes.

As new millennial learners, the impact of digital technologi­es on cognitive skills and on learning expectatio­ns as well as the evolution of social values and lifestyles are of great important.
