COMPETENT SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS
MICHELLE PANGILINAN
Behind successful schools are competent administrators who manage the day-today activities and provide instructional leadership.
School administrators are tasked with setting educational standards and goals and establishing the policies and procedures required to achieve them. Administrators also supervise managers, support staff, teachers, counselors, coachers, librarians and other em p l o yees.
They also oversee academic programs, monitor the educational progress of students, train and motivate teachers and other staff. They also manage career counseling and other student services, administer recordkeeping, and prepare budgets for the school.
Competent school administrators have good relationships with parents and students.
Competent school administrators work actively with teachers in order to develop and maintain high curriculum standards and establish performance goals by visiting classrooms, observing teaching methods, examining learning materials and reviewing instructional objectives.
Competent administrators are needed to make schools operate hassle free for the benefit of their respective academic communities.
