Tumang said that some P60-million has been allocated by the municipal government to realize said project. He added that the creation of a community college will enable the municipal government to provide free education to students.

“While we provide educational assistance to our scholars every year, this is just meager compared to the expenses for the whole school year,” he said, adding that setting up a community college will give the government wider opportunity to serve more students.

Tumang added that they municipal government will also be providing free shuttle service or at least allowance for the students’daily commute once the project is realized.

The mayor added that the municipal government is still working on the final details of the project as well the core center of the programs to be offered by the community college that would be reflective of the needs of the town and the business sector.
