11-hour power interrupti­on to hit Pampanga villages

APALIT - At least 19 villages in Pampanga will be affected by a day-long scheduled power interrupti­on this coming Saturday, February 16, the Pampanga III Electric Cooperativ­e (Pelco-3) announced yesterday.

In the latest advisory released by Pelco-3, the power interrupti­on will start at 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the said day to give way for some maintenanc­e activities to ensure continuous supply of electricit­y to consumers.

This will include the conduct of preventive maintenanc­e of power transforme­rs and trimming of excess lines as well as trees near electric poles and towers, the advisory disclosed.

Among the affected in the scheduled power interrupti­on are the 12 barangays of Apalit namely Balucuc, Calantipe, Cansinala, Capalangan, Colgante, Paligui, Sampaloc, San Juan, San Vicente, Sucad, Sulipan and Tabuyuc.

Likewise, barangays Telacsan, Tacasan, Saplad David, San Gabriel, Nabong Danga and part of San Isidro in Macabebe, and Sitio Tulaoc, Barangay San Agustin in San Simon will also experience power i nt er r upt i on.

The Pelco-3 management asks for the understand­ing of its consumers for the said activity which is needed to ensure delivery of better service in the community.

The Pelco-3 management also asked its consumers to prepare for the scheduled power interrupti­on by charging their gadgets and necessary home appliances in lieu of the said power interrupti­on.
