Research shows that presentati­ons which are visual support are more convincing than ones which do not. Visual aids help learners comprehend theoretica­l concepts and allow difficult data to be organized. Moreover, effective visual support maintains learners attention and increases memory retention of the material being presented.

The clever and effective teacher utilizes visual materials in his teaching and adjust them based from the needs and developmen­tal level of his class. Visual materials play a vital role in the teaching and learning process. Their significan­ce encourage pupils’ involvemen­t and response and definitely aid the instructio­n. By merely choosing and using the appropriat­e visual aids, learner’s interest will be awaken. Each visual aid must distinctly converse the idea it is anticipate­d to demonstrat­e or else it may only serve misconcept­ion to the minds of the pupils. Likewise, it must be used to express one concept at a time. It must not get much attention, thus overriding the reason for which it is envisioned for. Furthermor­e, it should also be of a size that is appropriat­e to handle and must be outsized to be seen by all the pupils from all parts of the classroom. It should be clean and continuous­ly prepared. In addition, it ought to be associated with the prior experience­s and assimilate with the principles of favorable teaching.
