Search for clean­est, green­est vil­lage, sub­di­vi­sion launched

CITY OF SAN FER­NANDO – The City Govern­ment of San Fer­nando through its City Agri­cul­ture and Vet­eri­nary Of­fice (CAVO) and City En­vi­ron­ment and Nat­u­ral Re­sources Of­fice (CENRO) re­cently launched the first ever search for clean­est and green­est vil­lage or sub­di­vi­sion in line with the cel­e­bra­tion of the 18th city­hood char­ter an­niver­sary or Ka­gana­pan at the mini con­ven­tion cen­ter of He­roes Hall here.

CAVO Head Cristina Sangu­may said that the com­pe­ti­tion is the first project that in­cludes the vil­lages or sub­di­vi­sions of City of San Fer­nando in the ur­ban gar­den­ing pro­gram of CAVO.

CENRO Ad­min­is­tra­tive Of­fi­cer III Jea­nine David noted that the ac­tiv­ity takes part on the cam­paign of sus­tain­able solid waste man­age­ment of Mayor Ed­win Santiago.

“We are reach­ing out to the vil­lages or sub­di­vi­sions for them to be­come part in beau­ti­fy­ing the en­vi­ron­ment and the cam­paign of City of San Fer­nando be­com­ing a zero-waste city,” David sai d.

The com­pe­ti­tion, which is free and open to all vil­lages or sub­di­vi­sions in City of San Fer­nando, will run from Fe­bru­ary 11 to April 22, 2019.

The event was at­tended by some Home Own­ers As­so­ci­a­tion (HOA) mem­bers from dif­fer­ent vil­lages or sub­di­vi­sions in City of San Fer­nando, who were re­quired to ac­com­plish
