Search for cleanest, greenest village, subdivision launched
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The City Government of San Fernando through its City Agriculture and Veterinary Office (CAVO) and City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) recently launched the first ever search for cleanest and greenest village or subdivision in line with the celebration of the 18th cityhood charter anniversary or Kaganapan at the mini convention center of Heroes Hall here.
CAVO Head Cristina Sangumay said that the competition is the first project that includes the villages or subdivisions of City of San Fernando in the urban gardening program of CAVO.
CENRO Administrative Officer III Jeanine David noted that the activity takes part on the campaign of sustainable solid waste management of Mayor Edwin Santiago.
“We are reaching out to the villages or subdivisions for them to become part in beautifying the environment and the campaign of City of San Fernando becoming a zero-waste city,” David sai d.
The competition, which is free and open to all villages or subdivisions in City of San Fernando, will run from February 11 to April 22, 2019.
