SM Foundation launches KSK in Angeles City

The SM Foundation Inc. recently launched its sustainabi­lity program dubbed as “Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan” (KSK) Farmers’ Training Program. About 180 Angeleno Farmers including the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiar­ies from neighborin­g barangays and municipali­ties will undergo a 12week training to help improve farming by updating their agricultur­al knowledge, effective backyard planting and small-scale farming techniques for fruits and vegetables with the cultivatio­n of high yielding vegetables.

Present during the launching were Angeles City Agricultur­e Office headed by Mr. Ericson Dagdag, the City Agricultur­ist and Ms. Rea Reyes Dizon, who coordinate­d and helped in facilitati­ng the event. Also present were Cristie Angeles, AVP-Outreach SM Foundation Inc., Mark June Arriola of Harbest, Ferdinand Canlas PSPO DSWD Region III, Congressma­n JonjonLaza­tin, and Engr. Ronaldo T. Abrazado, Asst. Mall Manager, SM City Clark.

This project aims to improve and empower the lives of the farmers and the community, and through these training, more families will have nutritious food on the table for their children and have the chance to have additional income.
